Today is a new beginning for Animal Rescue & Welfare Services as we announce the purchase of a building to hold the future of our cat rescue – a safe haven for those in need.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done to ready the facility for cats to reside there but we are hoping for a quick turnaround. We will keep you posted on progress and a grand opening date.

We are working towards a North Country where every cat is respected and treasured.  To aid us in this goal we are raising funds and other resources to build a haven that will move our vision forward.  You will find an ideal picture of that vision above. 

This vision allows us to continue and expand ARWS goal of spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation and the many problems overpopulation creates.  We all know them.  Cats that are sick, cats that get into trouble while trying to survive, multiple pregnancies, abandonment, especially during our brutal winters.  

ARWS haven will provide a safe space for cats in desperate need.  To help them heal and to find their forever homes.  The haven will also be a resource center for those wanting to learn more about these unique and precious animals.

What we need most after money is an acre of land close to the Plattsburgh City limits.  The land could have a building to recycle or be vacant.  Please be willing to donate or sell at a reasonable price.
